LODGING A CORRUPTION REPORT

This e-Report service allows any member of the public to lodge a corruption report online. Corruption is receiving, asking for or giving any gratification to induce a person to do a favour with a corrupt intent. In a nutshell, here is a graphical representation of corruption:

Where possible, users should include the following information in their corruption report:

  • Where, when and how the alleged corrupt act happened?

  • Who was involved and what were their roles?

  • What was the bribe given and the favour shown?

The e-Report will require 5-10 minutes to complete. Once submitted, your e-Report will be processed within 10 working days.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF YOUR IDENTITY

Under the law, the identity of the person making the report is protected, except where the court finds that the person has intentionally made a false statement in his or her report. Informers may choose to remain anonymous when making the report.

WARNING

It is an offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1960, to knowingly give or cause to be given any false or misleading information to the CPIB. The punishment is an imprisonment of up to 12 months or a maximum fine of $10,000, or both.
